 Prime Minister James Marape launched the National Road Network Strategy on September 2, 2019. The national Road strategy is a clear plan to provide hard surface roads in a tight fiscal environment. The Purecrete Road Building System has been approved for use in Papua New Guinea since 2004. In fact, Purecrete has roads in place that have lasted for 16 years with minimal maintenance. This is why Purecrete RBS is the system of choice for more than 700km of planned roads in PNG.

Residents of two villages welcomed the repair of  their connecting road  saying it has been in a  state of disrepair for more than 10 decades.

They said the road has been a source of  perennial campaign promises from politicians every election year.

“Since 1970s, we have always been promised the road will be tarmacked by leaders seeking our votes during elections. This is a dream come true for residents who have suffered for years due to the poor state of the road,” said Paul Kahoro.

Another resident, Jeremiah Michukli, said the area had been inaccessible especially during the rains.

“During the rainy season, it has always been a nightmare for locals to move since no vehicles would use the road. We are happy and grateful for what the county government has done.”

His Excellency President George Manneh Weah of Liberia  through the Ministry of Public Works has approved the construction and asphalt paving of severals community roads within Montserrado and its Environs.  

These are the roads that are in the pipeline to be built: 

The Segment of the Doe Community Road connecting to Clara Town via a Bridge, Battery Factory Road connecting to Bali Island,  Logan Town Broad Street Road,  Pipeline Road, Rehab Road, and Bishop Michael Francis Road.

Testing on 9km Roads approved in Rwanda

Rwanda is one of the most progressive countries in Africa in terms of building key infrastructure to enable economic growth. Roads are therefore very important, but expensive to build and maintain. Therefore, Rwanda has begun to look at innovative alternatives for road construction.  Purecrete RBS has been choses and authorized to build a 9km road using its environmentally friendly , cost effective and warranted road system.
